  • Worried about how Network Equipment Providers (NEP) Domain Managers will evolve?
  • Do you want to realize more of the capabilities of your Domain Managers?
  • Having problems integrating NEP Domain Manger into your OSS operational workflow?
  • Thinking about how to move to an all SOA environment?

If these are the type of questions you are asking in your organization then read on.

Many of the challenges facing Service Providers in the near future are the complex problems of multi-vendor network management. This family of problems is not new; however it will increase in complexity as converged networks are more extensively deployed. Network Element Providers through the TM Forum's Co-Operative OSS Project (CO~OP) are addressing these problems by looking at ways to bring a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to Operations Support Systems (OSS).

In this webinar, we will discuss evolving the classic Domain Manager to adopt and embrace SOA as described in CO~OP’s recently released whitepaper www.tmforum.org/page33788.aspx .The SOA principles of loose coupling and business integration will be discussed in the context of real world management scenarios. We will use the configuration of SGSN’s in Pool as a real use case addressing this issue by introducing a more flexible and resource-efficient architecture with built-in network redundancy.

The motivation is to drive the architecture evolution for management of mobile networks creating an environment that enables end-to-end management application to support the seamless deployment of converging networks. This new openness will create an agile environment for OSS solution creation. It will provide a new mechanism to reduce integration cost for operators as well as aligning with best in practice from IT world in system integration enablers.
