The TM Forum actively pursues relationships with other industry groups who are also working on cloud standardization topics in order to share workloads and collaborate to create consistent solutions.

TM Forum has an official project group that focuses on industry relationships entitled Cloud SDO Liaisons. This working group's primary objective is to review the cloud working groups within each of the following SDOs (standards development organizations): DMTF, OMG, itSMF, SCA, ITU, NIST, SNIA and more to find synergies for future collaboration.
Currently the working group is focused on:
DMTF/ TM Forum Work Register - Provides an overview of Cloud management work by DMTF and TM Forum.
- Highlights synergies, overlaps and gaps in coverage.
- Provides recommendations for standards related to Cloud management.
NIST TM Forum has been positioning Frameworx within NIST's Use Case, Taxonomy, Reference Architecture and Standards Roadmap efforts in order to drive TM Forum assets for Cloud in the following areas
