A key part of TM Forum Frameworx, the Information Framework (also known as SID), provides an information reference model and a common vocabulary from a business perspective. The Information Framework (SID) scope covers all of the information required to implement business procedures in a service provider's operations based on the Business Process Framework (eTOM) processes. This release of the Information Framework Suite builds on previous releases, with updates in the following main areas. Release 9.0 represents a major release of the SID, with the incorporation of numerous change requests resulting in enhancements to nine existing addenda. Nine existing addenda impacted by the change requests include: • Information Framework (SID) Concepts & Principles (GB922CP) • GB922 Addendum 1R - Common Business Entity Definitions – Root Business Entities • GB922 Addendum 1P - Common Business Entity Definitions – Party • GB922 Addendum 1 Usage - Common Business Entity Definitions – Usage • GB922 Addendum 2 - Customer Business Entity Definitions • GB922 Addendum 3 - Product Business Entity Definitions • GB922 Addendum 4SO - Service Overview Business Entity Definitions • GB922 Addendum 5LR - Logical Resource and Compound Resource Business Entity Definitions • GB922 Addendum 5PR - Physical Resource Business Entity Definitions The SID UML model (all formats), which reflect the addenda changes, were also changed to prepare for the unification of the MTNM/MTOSI and SID models. The SID Framework (Domains and Level 1 ABEs) was also changed to remove the Service Applications Level 1 ABE in the Service domain.
