I read to my amazement this morning that LTE is now going to be too slow!! It is still years away, and will be radically faster than anything we can get today from 3G, but it is already being superceded by something called Advanced LTE which will deliver downlink data rates of around 1Gb/s and uplink data rates of around 500Mb/s. Seemingly, LTE in the way that it is defined today does not meet the criteria for 4G and should only be considered a form of 3G on steroids. Meanwhile in the same publication...
