While at Team Action Week in Lisbon this week, I pondered what topic to highlight in this blog. Not to worry about food...there are plenty of my favorite Portuguese foods available here. Especially, a salt cod and potato casserole called bacalhau a Gomes de Sa, that features of layers of salt cod, potatoes slices, sauteed onions topped with other favorites such as hard-boiled eggs and olives. My mouth is already watering for another helping. I wish I could learn how to prepare them!
Aha, that's it. I could write about learning, a term quite similar to training. I'm using this term because formal TM Forum training is not available at Team Action Week, nor is Team Action Week a place to come obtain basic training about the frameworks and other deliverables produced by TM Forum teams. The week is a good learning opportunity, however. Some participants come to work on deliverables, while others come to learn about the future content of the frameworks, interfaces, the work being done by intiatives, such as the Defense Initiative.
So, I invite those of you not able to attend to keep an eye on community groups of interest to you for a daily digest of the happenings here. And, think about attending the next Team Action Week that will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, USA the week of July 19th, 2010 for your opportunity to learn more about our work.
Off to China again the week after next...until then, seeya!
