Learning from the experience of others

Share |
Hello again everyone,

I'm just back from  Singapore, where, alongside our very busy event we ran two training courses, the Business Process Framework Overview and the Process Framework Workshop. True to form, these very popular courses were very well attended wiith over 20 students on each.

As always, the class was composed of people from a range of backgrounds with a variety of experience and interests - Service Providers, ISVs, Consultants and so on,  but in Singapore I noticed again a trend that has begun to appear. More and more we are attracting students from the non "Operations" area of our business - Sales, Sales-support, Marketing, HR, Project & Programme Management and Customer Care for example.
It is encouraging to me to see, not only the value that these folks get from the course -hopefully they will return to their "day jobs" armed with a better understanding  of what the frameworks are and importantly how they can uses them, but also, from the other perspective, the tremendous added value that having this range of views on our Business brings to the course discussions. Everyone benefits from the shared experience.
Pretty much sums up the TM Forum!

Until next time...

Andrew
