The Growing Number of Frameworx Knowledge-Certified Individuals

Share |

I’m in Mumbai, India, this week teaching for five days.  A fellow instructor brought me a treat called Bhakarwadi from his city of residence - Pune.  Here’s a link… http://www.ifood.tv/network/snack_pune_bhakarwadi/recipes.  I also tried another treat from Kolhapur, known for its hot green chilies, called Kolhapuri.  Perhaps a program similar to the TM Forum Knowledge Certification Program could be developed by someone, so I could test my Indian food knowledge.  Enough said!

The adoption and use of Frameworx by member companies across the world is quite amazing.  In the last few years the courses have been attended by an increasing cast of roles.  No longer are practitioners always the majority of attendees.  This week we had two vice presidents and a general manager from a service provider attending the training, looking for ways to use Frameworx within their organizations.

It’s not only vice-presidents and general managers.  Increasingly, product managers, sales support analysts, and those playing other roles are in attendance.  Product managers, for one thing, are looking into how to incorporate Frameworx into their products and how their products can be viewed as conforming to the Information Framework (SID) and Business Process Framework (eTOM).  Sales support analysts are looking on how they can explain their products in terms of Frameworx, and how they can express their product’s conformance to the SID and eTOM.

And, all these students want to be able to share their Frameworx level of knowledge level with others.  To do so, they take the knowledge certification tests that are given as part of training.

With this in mind, the TM Forum continues to expand its program that recognizes knowledge-certified individuals.  As the next step in the Knowledge Certification program, TM Forum Career Certification, offers a personalized program that signifies an individual’s expertise in Frameworx.

TM Forum Training and Certification provide a consistent approach to Frameworx education across the industry, so service providers can more easily source the skills they demand to reduce risk, increase speed of service deployment, and lower costs. TM Forum Certified individuals are better prepared to deal with the challenges faced by the industry today.

Back home next week, then off to India again, visiting Chennai, a city which will be new to me, and an old favorite, Delhi.  So, be on the lookout for another culinary adventure story.  Maybe I will find an Indian food knowledge certification site during my next visit!
