I’ve been home for three weeks, which ties a record for me. So, no food story this time. Many of us have been getting ready for Management World Dublin 2011 next week. We have been quite busy getting the Information Framework (SID) Level 4 knowledge certification test ready for its debut at the conference. You can find about all the details at http://www.tmforum.org/TrainingWebcasts/TMForumCertification/9687/Home.html.
The prequisite for the SID Level 2 test is attendance at the SID Distilled course, which we updated earlier this year. Its new structure and content enables those not very familiar with information modeling and UML to understand the SID and its many uses. Each of the three units presents basic concepts, a case study, and practice for the students.
For the SID level 4 test, the SID Modeler’s Workshop, one of the test’s prequisites, has been re-designed. It contains more advanced concepts that previous versions, more uses of the SID, as well as updated exercises with suggested solutions. I’ll be teaching a one-day version of this course in Dublin.
You can find out more about these courses and the many others offered at http://www.tmforum.org/TrainingWebcasts/TrainingCourseDescriptions/5815/Home.html.
So, that’s all for now…also working on a Frameworx “Online” course that is calling for my attention tonight.
Off to Dublin and Management World 2011 next week. I look forward to seeing many of you there! I’ll have more to report when I return.
