I am a
doctoral student from the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems
Analysis in Germany
and ask for your participation in the prediction market TechForX.
TechForX is
a non-commercial research project that aims at predicting future developments
in the field of creative content, i.e. topics that are very much in the focus
of your community:

recording and publishing
* Film
production

Broadcasting (Radio and TV)

games

Publishing (newspapers and books)
* Mobile
content production
* Cultural
spaces (museums and libraries)
TechForX is
running as a supplement to the European Research Project EPIS (http://epis.jrc.es/), where traditional foresight methods are used to ask experts about their views on selected claims on the future development of
the creative content sector.
In TechForX, I
am using the same theses and ask people from all over the world to reveal their
opinion and knowledge on it. Hence, TechForX intends to be a platform where not
only a limited number of persons decide about future decision-making. In fact, the
results will be incorporated in the EPIS Project and will influence strategic
decision-making in business and policy!!!
In TechForX you playfully reveal your opinion by trading virutal stocks, whose market price can be interpreted as a probability for the incidence of the underlying claim. Hence, you immediately can see the results, i.e. the aggregated opinion of all participants. Morevover, unlike in a traditional survey you do not have to reveal your opinion on every question we ask but only the ones you are really interested in. Try it out!
