SID Roadmap?

    SID Roadmap?

    Hi

    I 've started looking into SID and have realised this is very much a work in progress. For example as I am particularly interested in the assurance/ Trouble Ticketing area I see there is a generic Trouble Ticket ABE but no Customer/Service/Resource trouble modeled ABEs.

    So the question is how is someone supposed to deal with this?

    Is there a roadmap for completing the modeling, so that one can choose to wait to use the standard as opposed to developing his own model, currently missing from the SID ?

    The TM Forum Interface Program's Assurance team is working on Service Problem.  I suggest you subscribe to this team to track progress.

    The SID work (as all TMF work) is based on the contribution from the members. Although there is much work regarding service assurance area in the TIP group, and there is a lot of interest in such work from SID perspective as well, the progress of the work depends on volunteers which do the work and contribute to the standard. This is the reason we have charters and roadmaps but not firm dates as in a commercial company. If you would like to step forward and lead such a work I can assure you that others will join since this is relatively 'hot' topic now. This way you can influnce the standard and make sure the standard is close to your model.
