| | | What is the Cable Initiative Group?
The Cable Initiative is known as the Cable Interest Group. It serves to support the growing interest of the Global Cable Industry/Eco system. The Cable Interest Group is launching new programs in OSS/BSS architecture, Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, Business Process Frameworks, and IPDR. The Cable Interest Group works closely with other Cable associations including CableLabs. What are the deliverables?
Each Project has deliverables and an action plan please select the topics below to be linked to each projects’ community 1. IPDR Next Gen
IPDR has gained significant momentum as the standard for IP transaction data collection in the Cable industry. Working closely with CableLabs, existing standards and services definitions can be leveraged for Next Gen Applications for a wide variety of business needs. eTOM has been used to analyze, improve, transform, and structure business processes in the Cable Industry. This program is focused on developing extensions, translations, and use cases for the Cable Industry. (Please click here to get more information and participate). 3. OSS/BSS Architecture
The Cable Industry OSS/BSS is in transformation. This program focuses on leveraging the TMForum Frameworx to develop a nextgen Cable industry set of architectures to enable converged services, wireline/wireless management, B2B, Cloud, and other new models for management. Business Intelligence and analytics are foundational to improving Cable Operations.
