The Cloud Security & Risk team is one of the efforts within the Cloud Services Initiative. Please make sure that you have also signed up for the Cloud Services Initiative to receive important updates for all Cloud-related groups.
This special Collaborative area has been set-up so that team members can engage in many parallel and lively discussions regarding the various Security & Risk areas that may impact member companies' Cloud strategies.
You are invited to share your thoughts regarding the topics below and how they are - or are not - relevant in the Cloud space. We will continually be posting various reports and other findings regarding areas considered of importance to the provision of Cloud services.
We will also be exploring other standards organizations and their focus on Cloud standards - in order to determine what role the TM Forum should play in the evolution of global Cloud security standards in these groups - or in parallel.
Furthermore, we will continue the work that was launched in Dublin to explore the Virtual Private Cloud document that was created by the Executive Cloud Leadership Council for "Enterprise-Grade" Infrastructure as a Service. Some Service Providers have expressed an interest in also creating a document that will outline the requirements for Service Provider-Grade Cloud Computing.
This is YOUR space to share YOUR thoughts about what is important to YOUR company and YOUR Cloud strategies.
Together we will discover, together, what areas are of common interest to the members of this group - and we will move forward to identify projects and other deliverables as deemed appropriate. Consider this as your Collaborative portal and repository for "All Things Cloud Security-related" as we will be populating a library of documentation of the various "Top Ten Cloud Security Issues" captured in documents by groups such as ENISA, CSA and the Department of Homeland Security - and we will be using these types of documents to spark dialogue and discussion about the relevance and importance of these issues to our TM Forum members.
We also know how busy everyone is - and we are therefore not going to set up conference calls unless/until the team has determined a particular topic of interest that warrants team conference calls. In the meantime, please share your interests here (and if you would like to blog, please let me know so that I can get permissions established for you).
You are warmly invited to share your thoughts and perspectives regarding how security, risk, compliance and privacy issues are relevant in the Cloud space and where you, as a TM Forum member, can gain value from bringing together dedicated team members to focus, scope, identify and/or solve a particular issue in these areas.
