The logic to make the TAW Contribution drop down selection active in the Request Type field on the Submit a Contribution page was keying off the name Team Action Week% in the TMF event database. With the name change of the event from Team Action Week to TM Forum Action Week, the logic was invalid and the TAW Contribution as a selection in the drop down was not being displayed. This fix modifies the logic so TM Forum Action Week% is searched on, again enabling TAW Contributions specific submissions.

Expand IPR Data for Contribution
On the Make a Contribution page, members are often unclear about what a Yes response to the “Is there any IPR to declare related to this submission?" question specifically means. Many members choose “Yes” and note their copyright on the submitted material. The changes implemented highlight that we’re interested primarily in patents or patents pending, and to a lesser degree third-party copyrights in the submitted document. This is accomplished through additional language and the ability to directly enter patent information on the submission page. The patent information entered in the table is converted into an Excel spreadsheet and associated with the submission tracker record.

Upgrade Groups Interface
The separate navigations bars have been combined into a single navigation bar containing all of the group functions. In addition email subscriptions, upcoming meetings and group member status and count have been placed in the group header making those functions clearly visible and accessible to users.

Upgrade Groups Membership Management
A wholesale new membership management system has been developed for the community groups. We've made it easier to find group members by listing them alphabetically by last name. In addition we've provided an additional layer of detail by allowing the display of group members by topic subscription.

Update Format of Blog Notification Emails
This enhancement cleans the presentation of group blog notification emails by increasing the amount of text displayed as well as preventing HTML errors from appearing in the notification emails. Previously the intro cut off point was hard coded by character count resulting in broken HTML tags, which caused the entire email to be malformed.

Yes, I see the Manage Customer Inventory process touches my needed business in a way or another, I'm going to refer to it.
Just wanted to make sure that there is no else process describes that business logic to the point.
Also, I'm pretty sure that this kind of business "Customer Heirarchy" is a common business, That's why I felt "It's very strange not descriping it in eTom".

RE: what you think code represent Customer heirarchy in eTom?

Said,

I agree that the use of the term ‘inventory’ to represent an enterprise’s customer base is confusing (I certainly think of ‘goods and materials’ when I see the term), but it does appear that the Manage Customer Inventory process is where customer records are expected to be maintained. From the Extended Description:
“The customer inventory maintains records of all customers, their interactions with the enterprise, any contracts established, and any other customer related- information, required to support CRM and other processes.”

Of course, it’s likely that an organization will be represented in the system prior to its becoming a customer, in order to support marketing and sales activities. That’s where leads and prospects, and the transition of these entities into customers, comes into play. Those areas are not so well defined in eTOM, in my opinion.

The Manage Customer Inventory process was the first process came to my mind when I was trieng to map my business logic to ETom.
But, Don't you think that the word "Inventory" is a lot far of the business of Customer Heirarchy?
Also the description of that process shows that It is responsible to:
- establish, manage, administer the enterprise's Customer inventory.
- Monitor and report the usage of Customer inventory repository.

Do you think the requirement of building customer heirarchy is a little far with respect to the previously mentioned process "Manage Customer Inventory" ?

Thanks and best regards,

some time ago we thought about functionality concerning organizational structure and its place in TAM.

Now I guess it's spreaded around Customer Information Management (Customer's structure), HR Management (Operator's structure), Partner management (Partner's structure).

Should we lean toward putting a separate domain in TAM for that functionality?

In many cases the same single appliction is used for reflection of all sorts of organizational structures mentioned (categorized within single application).

I assume you are thinking the customer hiearchy separate from the billing hiearchy.

Following are a few quick thoughts...
1. Per eTOM/SID cross-framework mappings, the eTOM L2 Selling process owns the customer. If this is valid, could we say that selling also owns the customer hiearchy?
2. eTOM's L3 Manage Customer Inventory mighy also play into the customer hiearachy.
3. From a TAM view (not what you have asked for), Customer Information Management would be responsible.

Hope this helps!

So, in your example S1 and S2 would have one set of terms and S3 would have another set of terms on the same agreement. And, the modified S1 would still be associated to its original agreement item.
