This blog is for the developers of OSS TMF applications. It is for you the developers who understood all the specifications (well maybe…) and need to develop some real applications with real code ! With news from Mobile World Congress that “twenty-four of the world’s ‘leading’ mobile operators are joining together to launch an application store that will become a mecca for apps developers and give Apple a real run for its money”, I am very careful not to call the Developer Network soft launched portal an app store. This week saw Portugal Telecom / Sapo make a significant contribution to the TM Forum by way of sharing their Sapo Services Bus. As my youngest daughter turned five this week, my mind was cast back to what was happening around the time she was born. At the time (with a previous employer) I was heavily immersed in the scoping, development and subsequent delivery of our OSS 3G solution to be deployed to various corners of the world.
