With news from Mobile World Congress that “twenty-four of the world’s ‘leading’ mobile operators are joining together to launch an application store that will become a mecca for apps developers and give Apple a real run for its money”, I am very careful not to call the Developer Network soft launched portal an app store. As my youngest daughter turned five this week, my mind was cast back to what was happening around the time she was born.
