  • tmforum mission: an ISV point of view

in the TMForum website I found the 2010 strategy document: http://www.tmforum.org/StrategicOperating/751/home.html inside I found a Mission statement (see below), I would be intrigued to hear feedback from the members of this group on prioritizing the different bullet points from an ISV point of view and hear any kind of positive or negative comments. We will have a call next week and we can discuss further. The TMForum Advisory council (I'm one of the members) will have a face to face meeting...
  • ISV and NGOSS certification

As NGOSS concepts and artifacts are now largely referred to by service providers (hardly no RFx now asking at least about positioning against some or all NGOSS components), I am always amazed by how so few ISVs are taking the opportunity of clearing upfront such type of questions by leveraging the NGOSS certification programs, even for the many of them who have leveraged such things as SID or TMF Interfaces in their product design. All your comments about the reasons for this are welcome: is it because...
  • New Members!

I'm glad to see that we have new members: I encourage everybody to start posting blogs and propose discussions. There's an interesting discussion on the benefits of TMF membership for ISVs, I would like to hear opinions from everybody. Also, I wanted to understand how many ISVs members are actually dedicating resources to TMF technical activities, any input? I saw the announcement of our Community in the TMF newsletter: " New Community Opens for ISVs The TM Forum Advisory Council has...
  • TMF and ISVs common interest

It is my sense that TMF and ISVs have complementary value and needs for common objectives. While the TMF has a solid vision of where the telco industry is going, as well as good ideas on common pain points, and what it would take to solve them, ISV have strong technical expertise and technically skilled individuals, but look for venues to expose their offer. There should be a way to align TMF and ISV agendas, so that ISVs allocating resources to contribute to TMF activities is no diversion from those...
  • small ISVs dedicating resources

I'd be curious to understand who of the small ISVs have the capability of dedicating a resource to the TMForum and what kind of resource: should we do a survey?
  • Joint Marketing Actvities

On top of helping the Board with the TMF strategy and making sure that ISVs are well served in TM Forum, this community could help in finding ways for the members to have joint marketing activities such as sharing booths at the Management World events webinars find catalyst partners create regional events stimulate partnerships Any ideas on how we could make this happen?
