What is the Spectrum Management Interest Group?
The growing demand for wireless services worldwide is creating congestion which can be addressed by increased spectrum efficiency or by obtaining more spectrum; or both. Increased spectrum flexibility will more efficiently meet customer demands.
A Spectrum Management interest group is being launched to consider standardization of Spectrum Management architectures, processes, information and data models, applications, interfaces, and testing.
What are the deliverables?
A Spectrum Management interest group is being launched to consider standardization of Spectrum Management architectures, processes, information and data models, applications, interfaces, and testing.
Projects under consideration include the following scope:
- Identification of Use Cases and level 1 business processes associated with spectrum management and network management integration. (Commercial and Defense)
- Definition of digital policy Use Cases associated with Dynamic Spectrum Access.
