To meet the demand for continually lower costs and ever-higher quality of service (QoS), service providers need management systems whose powerful built-in intelligence enables them to automate their network operations and business processes. So-called intelligent systems can be used to capture human expertise and can not only automate business processes, but also analyze network problems to determine their root cause and perform predictive analysis. There is a need to have a unified approach to cost-effective route to intelligent, automated network and service management.
