GB922 Information Framework (SID) Solution Suite Release 8.0 Model Files
The SID UML model is currently modelled using IBM's Rational Rose product. For the past couple of NGOSS releases, including NGOSS 8.0 the SID UML models have been provided, on a best effort basis, as a non-normative addition to the primary TMF documents, GB922 and GB926. As such the SID UML models are distributed in their Rational Rose “CAT” file formats for use in any tool which is capable of loading Rose “CAT” files. For those who do not have Rational Rose, the past couple of NGOSS releases, including NGOSS 8.0, also provide both various XMI, XSD, and web based browse-able versions of the SID UML model.

Explicit details on how to use these Rational Rose “CAT” files with the Rational Rose product can be found in GB922-1U (Using the SID). When using these Rose “CAT” files with Rational Rose, it is particularly important to follow the instructions on pages 5, 6, and 7 of GB922-1U on how to setup your “virtual path” for the SID UML model.
