About the challenge
The Energy Challenge facing the telecom industry is significant, but it also presents an opportunity for the industry to lead the world towards carbon neutrality and reduce its own energy consumption. We are leveraging the powerful innovation capabilities of the Catalyst program to find solutions to help drive innovation, sustainable growth, and social progress through projects addressing the Energy Challenge. Previous Catalysts have made valuable progress involving 5G radio network power management, and data center power usage effectiveness (PUE) optimizations. Now we can also explore new technologies such as 5G, IoT, and AI that have the potential to enable new energy-efficient and sustainable applications and services.
