Quantum leap: solving data privacy
What if the CSP were at the forefront of quantum encryption to solve global data sharing and privacy?Impacts: Product managers
The challenge: Telcos need AI services on COTS for their autonomous network adapted to their networks’ operations (trained with each Telco datasets) while complying with GDPR/Cloud/AI acts. Right now, when Telco stakeholders share their datasets with ISV there is no guarantee that it remains their data, when it is flowing across stakeholders’ premises, which slowing down the development of data-based services. Telcos can’t enforce data sovereignty and track data provenance for regulatory and business purposes.
Proposed solution: We’d love to hear your perspective on what’s involved in this idea and what type of solution could address it. Use the buttons on the left to tell us if you think this idea is important for the industry to address, or if you would like to get involved in working on a solution in a Catalyst project on this topic. Or maybe you have an idea for addressing a different challenge. If so, submit your idea here.
Success measures: A successful project should create a data usage policy and specifications for a governance blueprint for data-space stakeholders from which they can derive and instantiate practical tools for their business operations and auditing campaigns as well as for regulation compliance assessments. This blueprint will be operationalized within a use case of “independent AI Software Vendor” as a playground that was showcased in the 2021 Catalyst, Telco Data-Space, and to assess the data monetization and value stream created.
