TR249 Building and Enabling a Digital Payment Ecosystem R16.0.1

This technical report is the first step in establishing an open platform for CSPs and other stakeholders, to help them understand their business requirements, to identify the challenges and the opportunities, and to take advantage of both existing TM Forum assets and identify where gaps exist between their business requirements and those TM forum assets.

Core Frameworx, APIs, Digital Ecosystem Reference Architecture (DERA), Digital Service Reference Architecture (DSRA), Customer Experience Management (CEM), Big Data Analytics (BDA), Security and Privacy, are some of the essential Forum assets that can be used to build a digital payment ecosystem. In addition those same assets can be developed and extended to address new requirements as they are identified from the digital payment business scenarios.

Next Steps:

  •  Collaborate with the Frameworx teams to extend each of the Business Process, Information, Application, Integration and Metrics Frameworks as required.
  •  Identify Best Practices for leading edge current Digital Payment Ecosystems
  •  Based on the analysis of the business requirements, the opportunities, and prospective benefits, the next step will be to demonstrate ‘best business practices’, within catalyst (concept demonstrator) projects.
