6G INTENSE: Intent-Based Autonomous Operations for Distributed 6G Services tackles one of the defining challenges of next-generation networks: how CSPs can efficiently deploy, operate, and monetize latency-sensitive, distributed services across multi-domain environments. As edge computing and 6G-era use cases expand, traditional OSS and manual operations models cannot scale to meet the stringent SLA, performance, and adaptability demands of B2B verticals such as manufacturing, logistics, and media. This Catalyst introduces an intent-driven, AI-powered orchestration framework that autonomously manages a distributed network–compute fabric spanning RAN, core, and edge domains across multiple operators. Using TM Forum Open APIs, the solution translates business intents into real-time operational actions, enabling closed-loop SLA assurance, fault management, and continuous service adaptation rather than static service activation. The Catalyst demonstrates a deep-edge content delivery proof of concept where intents are negotiated, resources are dynamically deployed, and conflicts are resolved autonomously to maintain service performance under best-effort, multi-domain conditions. Native AI capabilities support analyze–plan–execute control loops for FCAPS automation, while a layered orchestration architecture coordinates domain and local orchestrators through standardized TMF APIs. Aligned with TM Forum ODA principles and the Autonomous Networks Level 4 vision, 6G INTENSE shows how intent-based operations can dramatically reduce operational overhead while improving quality of experience. The outcome is a practical blueprint for CSPs to evolve into edge service platforms—unlocking new B2B revenue streams, delivering differentiated QoE, and scaling distributed 6G services through zero-touch, intent-driven operations. 6G-INTENSE is a project funded by the EC SNS-JU program under the GA 101139266.
