Sumit is responsible for the systems used to design, build & maintain networks and services at Verizon. His team provides solutions to optimize network deployment, provide automation for managing the build and finally operate the world’s best network. The scope of responsibility includes systems for all RAN and Core Networks and all mobile, virtual and broadband services.

Sumit started his journey at Verizon as part of the first Verizon dot com ecommerce platform launch in 2001. Since then he has delivered several successful transformation programs across various domains including: Finance (EPM, business intelligence), Network Systems (engineering & build, fault isolation, and mediation), ERP (assets, projects, accounts payable, and general ledger), CRM, Verizon.com and ordering.

Sumit graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and completed MBA from University of Texas at Dallas. He also holds eight patents for innovative architecture designs and implementations.
