ODA Reference Canvas

The Concept

This project is designed to accelerate the creation of modular, componentized, cloud-native software to replace traditional BSS and OSS in line with the ODA principles and policies by creating the Reference Implementation(s) of the ODA Canvas, and associated services, on which ODA Components will run.

The ODA Reference Canvas is the living environment where TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture comes to life, enabling members to design, test, and validate interoperable solutions. By providing reusable building blocks, shared datasets, and pre-integrated components, it reduces cost and time to innovate.

Value

The outcomes of Innovation Hub project will benefit the entire TM Forum membership, and the wider industry in several ways:

10 x efficiency and agility improvements

• Accelerate transformation to an AI Native Telco

• Improve customer experience through seamless integration and “zero touch, zero wait and zero trouble operations

• Enable operational efficiency and agility though automation. Integration of telco software moves from a manual project to full automation

Security - core architecture implements Zero Trust, enabling reduced variance and greater collaboration on risk management

• Reduces technical debt – continuous upgrade of software systems through decoupled and modular interface contracts

• Dives simplicity – from hundreds of operations teams managing vertically integrated applications to a single SRE team.

Progress to date

Recent updates include expanded API coverage and cloud-native deployment models, making it a global benchmark for open, agile, and future-ready digital infrastructure.

AI Value Accelerator - TM Forum AIVA

AI Value Accelerator - TM Forum AIVA

The AI Value Accelerator is a collaborative sandbox where members rapidly experiment with generative AI and agentic systems in real telecom environments. It delivers practical outcomes like AI copilots for assurance and orchestration, while embedding transparency, trust, and interoperability with ODA. With recent prototypes proving measurable efficiency gains, TM Forum AI Virtual Assistant (TM Forum AIVA) is positioning itself as the telecom industry’s trusted path to responsible AI adoption - comparable to global AI labs, but laser-focused on connectivity.
