Business Process Framework (eTOM)

The Business Process Language of TM Forum's Solution Frameworks (NGOSS)

The Proven Solution for Business Process

The TM Forum’s Business Process Framework (eTOM) is known around the world for the common vocabulary it establishes for both business and functional processes. By mapping processes in language that all facets of an organization understand, the Framework enables a business-driven approach to managing enterprise processes, and helps to identify and prioritize which operational areas are most critical to business objectives.

The Business Process Framework can be used as a tool:

  • For analyzing an organization’s existing processes, enabling quantitative assessment of value, cost and performance of processes
  • To reveal instances in which different processes deliver the same business functionality, which helps to eliminate duplication and generate cost savings.
  • To find missing steps in processes, leading to more efficient operations.
  • For expediting development of new processes where gaps are found or where changes need to be made
  • To simplify procurement, serving as a common language between service providers and suppliers.

The eTOM is in use extensively for a wide variety of business process projects.
