This project both simplifies and builds on the configurability of TM Forum Open APIs, introducing new elements of configurability and making it simpler for all types of marketplace participants to manage the configurable elements.
Dynamic Architectures where products, offers and actions are defined in a visual creation environment and made available for run-time consumption are current best practice. Extending this through partnerships and into different application environments to support different channels allows a CSP to further leverage a catalog-driven architecture. These channels are often 'assisted' not to do the data entry for the customer but to drive engagement and decisions.
This project is about how we support the need to make the CSP marketplace enabled and take services with components sourced through a marketplace to market including through both assisted and unassisted channels.
There are three main objectives
1. Remove the catalog barrier to meet everyone's needs
2. Create domain-specific service specifications to support almost any CSP connectivity or other domain
3. Channel equivalence between assisted and un-assisted channels.
Phase 1 was about an end-to-end solution, extending TMF assets and contributions. Phase 2 is about showing the value by building on the foundation established in Phase 1.
