Using closed-loop automation to enhance network quality through streamlined operations and maintenance
Project companies
To realize the full potential of applying AI in their network operations centers, CSPs must often undergo process re-engineering and simplification – they also need the support of a platform compatible with TM Forum’s open digital architecture (ODA).
Phase II of this Catalyst plans to employ the autonomous operations value streams recently defined by TM Forum to streamline CSPs’ operations and management (O&M) processes. To that end, the project will introduce an ODA component supported by generative AI at the platform layer, while also harnessing existing ODA components in the OSS (operational support systems) domain.
Phase I of the Catalyst used AI to develop an architectural framework and intelligent operations foundation for a closed-loop automation solution to enable autonomous operations. The goal in this iteration of the project is to improve mean time to repair (MTTR) and network quality, while reducing manual repetitive tasks for CSPs’ O&M staff. The Catalyst team will use the valorization method of the TMF Value Operation Framework (GB1041) model to measure the value output of the project.
