Project companies
Multi‑Agent Intelligence for Packet Core Operations is a Phase 2+ Catalyst project that demonstrates how agentic AI and multi‑agent collaboration can safely accelerate the journey toward Level 4 Autonomous Networks in one of the most complex and high‑risk domains: the Packet Core. The project introduces a modular, standards‑aligned approach that enhances traditional AIOps with contextual reasoning, guided decision‑making, and human‑in‑the‑loop collaboration.
At the heart of the solution is a multi‑agent architecture where specialized AI agents collaborate to detect, enrich, reason about, and resolve network anomalies. Network domain agents apply deep Packet Core expertise to enrich raw anomalies with contextual insights, probable causes, and recommended actions. These enriched signals are then analyzed at a situation level, enabling more accurate impact assessment, prioritization, and resolution planning across teams.
Rather than replacing human operators, the Catalyst augments them with explainable, trusted AI. Decision‑support agents provide traceable remediation recommendations, while collaboration agents bring together the right experts, data, and insights in a single operational view—reducing escalations, shortening resolution cycles, and improving consistency. This graduated approach to autonomy allows CSPs to scale operations confidently while maintaining control in critical network environments.
Grounded in a real‑world Proof of Concept and aligned with TM Forum Open Digital Architecture, Open APIs, and Autonomous Networks standards, the Catalyst delivers a practical blueprint for agent‑assisted Packet Core operations. By shifting from alert‑centric processes to multi‑agent, context‑driven workflows, the project reduces downtime, improves operational efficiency, and enhances service reliability—setting a new benchmark for autonomous network assurance at scale.
