Conversation between City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins: 2021 Virtual Forum

Organized by IEC SyC Smart Cities and ISO/IEC JTC1/SC41 Internet of Things and Digital Twin.

Aims:

• Gain a better understanding of the state-of-art of the theory, technology, practice and standards of City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins
• Identify the similarities and differences between City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins
• Identify the needs of standards for City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins
• Promote the exchange of information and experiences and enhance the conversation between experts of City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins.

Expected achievements and outputs:

• Increased understanding of City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins and the relationship between them
• Identification of potential sources of collaboration to support follow-up research and standard development activities
• Suggestions for the next steps of standard work in City Information Modelling and Urban Digital Twins
