Ericsson joins TM Forum’s Board of Directors
Jan Karlsson brings expertise in deployment and delivery of digital services and IT transformation to the Forum’s Board and members
TM Forum, the industry association driving digital transformation through collaboration, today announced a new addition to its Board of Directors with the appointment of Jan Karlsson, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Digital Services at Ericsson. Karlsson brings a wealth of expertise in driving digital business, and network and IT transformation for the world’s largest connectivity service providers.
TM Forum’s Board guides the organization’s strategy and success on behalf of its members. The Board determines how the Forum serves its members and the broader industry by setting direction, priorities, key themes and initiatives. The Board aims to have a representative balance of member industry sectors and geographies with various types of service providers, software companies, equipment suppliers and systems integrators.

“I’m happy to join TM Forum’s Board of Directors and contribute to the important role the Forum is playing in the industry,” said Karlsson. “With several years’ experience heading up Ericsson’s Digital Services business, I’m looking forward to putting my skills to the test and helping TM Forum members succeed on their digital transformation journeys.”
Jan led the Digital Services team at Ericsson since early 2018. Prior to this, he was Head of Solution Area BSS at Ericsson and previously he led the sales and delivery of OSS/BSS projects for Ericsson in Latin America. Before joining Ericsson, Jan was CEO of DigitalRoute, an independent software vendor focused on data collection and pre-processing in telco and non-telco verticals. Jan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School in France.
