Globe Telecom has selected the Amdocs Revenue Guard service for automated and analytics-driven revenue assurance. The Amdocs service will enable Globe Telecom to optimize revenue by proactively identifying and minimizing traditional and new digital-age revenue leakage risks before they make a negative impact on revenue or manifest in billing and charging inaccuracies, which negatively impact the customer experience.
With the Ayala Corporation and Singtel Telecommunications Limited as its major shareholders, Globe Telecom is one of the largest service providers in the Philippines and the purveyor of the Filipino digital lifestyle through its technologically advanced mobile, fixed-line and broadband Internet networks.
Globe Telecom will use the Amdocs service to proactively protect its revenue generating operations across its lines of business. It will also leverage the consulting and training services offered as part of Amdocs Revenue Guard to optimize the operations.
“The entry of a company of Amdocs’ magnitude to the revenue assurance space with its acquisition of cVidya is yet another proof of the increased importance of this domain for the industry as the world becomes increasingly digital,” says Rizza Maniego-Eala, chief financial officer at Globe Telecom.
“By integrating the Amdocs Revenue Guard service into our data lake, we will be able to centrally analyze and effectively share data across the different parts of our business, optimizing revenue while keeping operational costs to the absolute minimum. We see this as an additional milestone in our transformation to become a digital service provider.”
The Amdocs Revenue Guard service combines revenue assurance and fraud management software tools and expertise brought into Amdocs through its acquisition of cVidya, a leader in this space for the past 15 years, alongside dedicated professional services from Amdocs, including risk analysis consulting, business analytics, training and IT operations. The solution caters to all lines of business and service providers of all sizes and can be deployed on premise or in the cloud with flexible engagement models, including software as a service (SaaS), revenue share and key performance indicators (KPIs) models.
“In today’s world of digital immediacy, where service providers like Globe are introducing new digital services at lightning speed to meet rapidly evolving customer expectations, chief executive officers are recognizing the urgent need for tools and expertise that can protect their revenue from new and unknown leakage risks,” said Eric Updyke, group president, Systems Integration and Operations at Amdocs. “By combining market-leading technology with a rich set of services, Amdocs Revenue Guard helps our customers close the loop between detecting revenue leakage risks and managing them.”
Earlier this month at the TM Forum’s Innovation InFocus event in Dallas Texas, Amdocs took part in TM Forum’s “Smart Life: My Home, My City, My Planet” Catalyst project with its Revenue Guard service.
This future-looking, multi-vendor Catalyst proof-of-concept created an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that can deliver automated services, such as connected home and car services, as prescribed by the user. Amdocs, a leading contributor to the work of the TM Forum Revenue Assurance group from its inception via cVidya, provided the much-needed revenue assurance and cyber-fraud protection layer for this Catalyst.
