NICE, France – Verizon Communications, China Unicom and Huawei and were among a handful of companies that walked away as winners of TM Forum’s Excellence Awards presented this week at the organization’s Live event in Nice. TM Forum noted that 57 companies were nominated for the awards, which was whittled down to 32 finalists.
Verizon managed to snare an Agile Business & IT Award for its Rapid Delivery platform that through Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions division to transform to standardize processes, optimize its system architecture and rationalize its product suite.
China Unicom was awarded TM Forum’s Customer Centricity Award for its leveraging of TM Forum’sFrameworx platform to accelerate its big data and customer centricity transformation efforts through the use of big data use cases, omni-channel customer strategies and models designed to enable the ability to better define customer interaction.
Vendor NetCracker also picked up a Customer Centricity Award as a “solutions provider,” with the TM Forum noting the company’s customer management solutions are designed to ensure a consistent customer experience across all touch points. The service is said to add agility and minimize the order-to-activation cycle, foster better customer satisfaction, improve customer loyalty and a resulting decrease in churn.
Avea was singled out in the “service provider” category for its implementation of Etiya’s Telaura Catalog-Driven Order Management for Customer Centricity platform for its Project Unicorn that included a centralized product catalog, unified order capture and customer order orchestration layer.
BT was cited for its Compute platform with the TM Forum Open Digital Ecosystem Award. The organization explained that compute management systems “now underpins some of BT’s most innovative offerings including IoT/Smart Cities, BT for Life Sciences and BT Trace/Logistics, while enabling a growing range of go-to-market and channel partner initiatives.”
Huawei was awarded the Open Digital Ecosystem Award for the TM Forum for its Digital InCloud Solution, which is described as an end-to-end ICT platform designed to help mobile operators to build a digital ecosystem and expand their domains from individuals to new digital businesses.
Huawei also received an Agile Business & IT award for its BSS Solution, which is designed to support service providers in expanding digital processes to support customer experience, digital products and partner business operations.
Dgit garnered an Open Digital Ecosystem Award as a “smart innovator” for its Telflow service delivery platform targeted at applications, infrastructure and communications service providers looking to “manage growth, change and complexity across the IT ecosystem.”
