Most CSP data is fragmented across silos spanning various domains. This fragmentation prevents CSPs from obtaining the complete and accurate view they need to efficiently plan, roll out, fulfil and assure their networks.
This Catalyst is developing a solution that will federate data from multiple sources, inventories and assurance systems to provide CSPs with a comprehensive and accurate view of their networks. This solution will enable greater automation, streamline operations and improve process execution, significantly enhancing overall network efficiency. Ultimately, end users will benefit from more reliable and optimized services. For example, the solution will enable proactive issue resolution reducing response times, leading to quicker, more reliable customer interactions. Similarly, enhanced assurance processes will increase end-user satisfaction boosting CSPs’ net promoter scores (NPS) and retention rates.
By harnessing generative artificial intelligence (genAI) and digital twins to access and analyze the network data, the solution will federate run-time data across multi-vendor, multi-layer networks, encompassing a range of dynamic technologies, such as SDN (software-defined networking) and 5G slicing. Making extensive use of TM Forum assets, the solution’s standards-based, modular design allows for easy scalability, ensuring swift deployment across CSP markets.
“As networks and services evolve, Vodafone needs to continuously provide capabilities surrounding business processes like zero touch operations, automated planning and rollout, closed loop assurance, automation of B2B processes etc.,” explains one of the Project Champions at Vodafone. “To best support those processes, Vodafone is evolving its inventory landscape to support capabilities like single view of the network across traditional and virtual, data quality enhancements, unified data model across markets, automation and AI/genAI capabilities, reflection of near real-time network view using discovery and reconciliation, full-blown reporting and analysis, full-blown topology view, single data mastership for resources and services.”
The Catalyst team will measure the impact of the solution by tracking the reduction in manual effort, time-to-resolution, automation rates, cost savings and return on investment, as well as adoption across markets.
