Prioritizing convergence, intent-based services, and sustainability for optimal customer experience and sustainability
Project companies
CSP network operations are becoming rapidly more complex with the growth of open-architecture networks, virtualization, network-as-a-service models and 5G. The Autonomous CEI for zero-touch 5G and Wi-Fi networks Catalyst proactively addresses these challenges through a focus on convergence, intent-based services, and sustainability. The project's aim is to enhance network efficiency and customer experience through predictive analytics, automation, and innovative service solutions.
Key developments in this fifth phase include expanding the Predictive Customer Experience Index (CEI) solution with new use cases targeting sustainability, advanced customer care, and intent-driven services for network slicing. These advancements empower CSPs to offer high-value, tailored services to enterprises and consumers.
Novel enhancements include integrating customer care interactions with generative AI to improve responsiveness and efficiency. The project also aims to develop a unified CEI for convergent networks, seamlessly blending 5G and Wi-Fi capabilities. Sustainability is central, with initiatives designed to reduce carbon footprints and operational costs.
The solution promotes a zero-touch, customer-centric 5G network environment built on four pillars:
1. Sustainability - reducing environmental impact and operational costs 2. Dynamic network slicing and intent services - using automation and SLA management to provide customized services 3. Advanced customer care - enhancing responsiveness and driving continuous service improvement 4. Convergent wireless services - unifying customer experience across 5G and Wi-Fi networks
Adhering to TM Forum and 3GPP standards, the project ensures interoperability and immediate commercial applicability, based on Open Digital Architecture (ODA) best practices. Key performance indicators include enhanced automation levels, energy savings, reduced customer churn, higher customer satisfaction (NPS), and increased average revenue per user (ARPU). The CEI is a critical KPI, guiding customer-centric actions alongside additional network and infrastructure metrics.
Anticipated business benefits include improved network automation, service efficiency, and customer care. Increased revenue opportunities will also arise through tailored services, cross-selling opportunities, reduced customer churn, and better monetization of 5G and network convergence capabilities.
