Topics AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Positioning CSPs at the heart of Physical AI — with edge intelligence, assured connectivity and ecosystem-scale enablement.

Unlocking AI monetization opportunities has long been a strategic ambition for communications service providers. This Catalyst turns that ambition into a practical industry blueprint by demonstrating how telecom networks can evolve from connectivity-centric infrastructures into foundational intelligence platforms for the Physical AI era.
As AI expands from digital applications into physical systems such as robots, AI glasses and autonomous industrial machines, device-centric approaches are facing increasing limitations. These include high device cost and energy consumption, constrained onboard computing capacity, difficulties in continuous AI model optimization, and the complexity of scaling services across diverse devices, scenarios and ecosystem partners.
This Catalyst addresses these challenges by redefining the role of CSPs in the Physical AI value chain. Through AIN-ISDE, the project integrates connectivity, distributed compute and AI orchestration across device, edge and cloud, enabling AI inference and service intelligence to be dynamically distributed across the network.
CSP edge evolves beyond connectivity into a shared distributed “Physical AI brain”, supporting lighter, lower-cost and more energy-efficient intelligent devices, while creating new monetization opportunities for CSPs and ecosystem partners.
On this Catalyst webpage, you can see how this vision is translated into practical industry implementation, including:
1. a new business model for monetizing Physical AI services through CSP-enabled connectivity, compute, AI orchestration and service assurance;
2. the overall technical architecture and key innovations in connectivity-compute integration, large-fleet Physical AI management, AI task orchestration and device-edge-cloud coordination;
3. real-world trial videos on a live 5G network enabled by AIN-ISDE, showing how the network can act as an intelligent brain for robots and support more reliable Physical AI services.
Last but not least, come and see our live demonstration at DTW, where CSP-enabled Physical AI helps create a more inclusive mobility solution for visually impaired people and deliver meaningful social value.
