Business Assurance Project
Critical to the success of IoE and Digital Ecosystems, Business Assurance focuses on the core operations areas which safeguard revenue and reduce risk. The workstream explores customer experience, monetization of new services and establishing trust in an ecosystem context as extensions.
Initiatives we are working on include:
- identifing and evolving key capabilities that enable and support business through an organization’s digital transformation to ensure that areas such as customer satisfaction and revenue are maintained or even further enhanced.
- revenue assurance and fraud management operations need to incorporate the latest technologies including Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics to remain effective in the fast-paced, automated ecosystem economy emerging today.
- working to integrate outcomes from the proof of concept Catalysts into usable assets for TM Forum members. This will help better detect and prevent revenue leakages and to ensure customer experience.
Within the project, there are specific focus areas on functions including revenue assurance, fraud management and charging and billing. TM Forum continues to lead in these areas, remaining at the forefront through regular surveys with industry leaders across the globe, allowing the continuous updating of best practices, standardizing of language and processes, and defining a comprehensive Revenue Assurance Maturity Model, as well as defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the areas mentioned.
