Catalyst Projects Seeking Participants
New Business Models with Mobile Sponsored Data
This catalyst will identify new and implement existing TMForum APIs to create a fabric of providers connecting to a broad set of enterprises delivering the blueprint that can push the sponsored data trials underway today to complete market offerings in 2017.
Intent-based Programmable Networks
The TM Forum, ETSI, MEF, and ONF are all working on APIs and models related to NFV and/or SDN. The vision behind this Catalyst is to take contributions from each of these bodies and weave them together into a fabric that delivers the value that communication service providers are looking for with NFV/SDN.
Ecosystem to Ecosystem Platform
Demonstrate how through the adoption of Forum Open APIs, platforms can interoperate with each other more easily and ultimate lead to the provision of a platform for portability of services and applications across the globe.
Joint Agile Delivery
A visionary approach to developing and delivering world-class software that capitalizes on cross-organizational (cross-”value fabric”) synergies to dramatically improve TTM, quality, and cost
OPAL: Data for Climate
OPAL is a project which aims to solve the problem whereby SPs wish to retain CDR data behind their firewall, while insights could be gleaned from these records and shared for good purposes, for example prediction on the movement of diseased based on the movement of people. This project has a strong privacy aspect to it to ensure that the SP is not put at risk through the participation of the project.
Cognitive Analytics for Omni-channel Commerce
To explore the application of Cognitive computing in Omni channel commerce to improve the customer experience.
Unified Product Catalog – Digital Rating & Charging Booster
Unified Product Catalog Catalyst aims to provide a more open and agile experience through an enhanced product catalog that allows customers and external system real-time control of their price plans, and provides offers that are based on the context of what they are doing.
Global Metro Ethernet Ordering
Demonstrate the TM Forum’s Ordering API in combination with MEF’s Ethernet specifications can create a standard way to order Ethernet globally.
Machine Learning Optimized Omnichannel (MLOOc)
The vision of this catalyst is to build on the foundation laid in the 2016 Nice MLOOc catalyst and further explore the possibilities of optimizing engagement of Customers and Others Users (IoT) through a Machine Learning/AI approach to Knowledge Base asset use.
NFV Ecosystem Enabler: A well-enabled VNF package (phase 2)
This project develops the building blocks required for realizing the ultimate business vision of NFV, by focusing on the open standards required for consistent on-boarding new NFV suppliers and its lifecycle management this Catalyst removes the barriers and enables a robust and dynamic NFV ecosystem.

APPEX Omnichannel
To promote APPEX Omnichannel adoption in the telecoms sector and enhance Customer Experience incorporating new digital channels and product offerings.
B2B Sales & CPQ Experience
This Catalyst looks at how operators can provide a structured B2B Buying experience for SME customers.
Cognitive Digital Agent
This Catalyst wants to explore the use of cognitive computing or artificial intelligence technologies such as natural language processing and machine learning to create the next generation of customer care services.

This Catalyst seeks to build a dashboard for Customer Experience Management that shows each moment of the user journey and related real-time analytics results. In particular sentiment and satisfaction insights in relation to the user experience is key.

The object of this Catalyst is to establish open digital production platform and explore the method to do digital production and expand the operator’s sale channel.

This Catalyst project will demonstrate the usage of TM Forum APIs for customer management, product catalogue, product ordering, customer care and settlement in a manner of independent call or event/rule based orchestration
Real Virtuality
This Catalyst project aims to demonstrate a common orchestration capability for this problem space, which can scale and work for the diverse scenarios.
SMART BPM Enabling Digital Transformation – Wave III
In Wave I & II of the Smart BPM Catalyst, the project considered Service Fulfilment & Service assurance scenarios. The Smart BPM Wave III Catalyst aims to explore SDN/NFV or Billing domain.
Smart Health Catalyst
This Care@Anywhere Catalyst will focus on improving the user experience and use a set of common diseases and allow for data collection that follows them outside of the home ( to the hospital, clinic, doctors office).
Smart Life: My Home, My City, My Planet
This Catalyst will create an IoT platform that can deliver automated services as prescribed by the user and activated by geofences, without the need for manual intervention.
Delivering Open Cloud Eco-System for the Digital SME
This Catalyst will identify the need to focus on business innovation on SME market to enable us to bridge the gap between commercial and technology, these SME’s are innovative and need to be served via Portals, APIs, could we apply Amazon models for a CSP driven SME service.
