Zero Touch Partnering – Phase III
This zero-touch partnering project is being extended in this phase to support an interesting model for IoT where a telco can play a generic role facilitating an IoT marketplace supporting IoT service activation and IoT device activation as well as connectivity.
In this model, a mobile handset may have IoT devices “paired” with it. An IoT service may be ordered or activated through the mobile handset, the zero-touch partnering TM Forum Open APIs are being used to support the mobile handset dynamic activation and the partnering interfaces between the telco and the IoT service providers. The plug and play of any service within the zero-touch marketplace continues to be supported through this phase as the IoT model is an extension to the work of earlier phases of the project (see below).

Phase I: Zero Touch Marketplace Integration
Zero touch partnering will allow telcos to transform into platform businesses, platforms where innovative new services from partners may be represented or bundled seamlessly. Partners will be on-boarded and operationally integrated, have their services discovered and then be included in offers through the platform, all without an IT project.

Phase II: Zero Touch Marketplace Integration
As a key part of ODA and to enable new business models this project is showing that partner onboarding and operational integration can be done without IT development, using TM Forum Open APIs for any service. The project will demonstrate multiple vendors, multiple service providers and different types of services all using this new “Plug and Play” approach to integrating partners.
