AN Upskilling Hub (industry-led focus)
The Autonomous Networks (AN) Upskilling Hub is a TM Forum industry initiative designed to help the telecommunications sector build the skills, knowledge and shared understanding needed to accelerate the transition towards Autonomous Networks. Developed in collaboration with leading service providers, technology suppliers and industry experts, the Hub provides structured learning pathways that connect industry frameworks, best practices and real-world transformation priorities. It enables individuals and organisations to develop a common language, align around proven approaches, and build the capabilities needed to support the industry’s journey towards higher levels of network autonomy. This course has been created with contributions from Ericsson, Huawei and Makman Technologies.
Autonomous Networks Awareness: Foundations and Business Value
Autonomous Networks are becoming a strategic priority as communications service providers face increasing operational complexity, rising customer expectations, and the need to scale AI-driven operations. This awareness-level course provides a practical introduction to the concepts, frameworks and business outcomes that underpin Autonomous Networks. Learners will explore why the industry is investing in network autonomy, what differentiates Autonomous Networks from traditional automation, and how TM Forum frameworks help establish a common industry approach.
The course introduces the Autonomous Networks Framework, Reference Architecture and Autonomous Network Levels (ANL), providing a high-level understanding of how these industry assets work together to support transformation. Through examples of High Value Scenarios and value-realisation approaches, learners will gain insight into how Autonomous Networks can improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance. This course is the ideal starting point for anyone seeking to understand Autonomous Networks and begin their learning journey within the AN Upskilling Hub.
