ODA for Satellite (SODA)
Join the ODA for Satellite (SODA) Collaboration Project
The satellite industry is entering a new era of rapid growth—fuelled by innovation, investment, and the world’s increasing demand for connectivity. From 5G-NTN and direct-to-device services to Earth observation, IoT, inflight Wi-Fi, and inter-satellite links, space-based networks are expanding beyond traditional models and transforming how the world connects.
But this growth also brings new challenges. Satellite services are delivered through complex, multi-partner ecosystems with fragmented architectures and limited alignment—slowing innovation and creating barriers to scale.
The ODA for Satellite collaboration project unites industry leaders to solve these challenges by extending TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA) to meet the unique needs of the satellite domain. Together, we’re developing reusable models, APIs, and operational frameworks that enable seamless integration between terrestrial and orbital systems.
By joining this initiative, TM Forum members can help define the digital foundations for the next generation of space-enabled services—unlocking new business models, accelerating innovation, and shaping a more open and interoperable satellite ecosystem.
