Catalog Management Project

The Catalog Management project disseminates business oriented use cases as defined by TM Forum members to test and refine the Aggregate Business Entities (ABE) as documented in published TM Forum documents and resources and implemented globally to support current industry needs to manage catalog items.

To this end, new and existing Catalog APIs may be defined and refined to expose product, service, resource and entity items.

This work requires close coordination and integration with other projects such as the Frameworx projects for the Information Framework (SID), the Open API Project and ZOOM Projects.

For 2017, one of the Catalog team focuses will be to assess business oriented use cases driving the need for the Entity Catalog API to allow for dynamic API operations investigating the usage of JSON-LD.

Ongoing Collaboration Work

The ongoing work is on:

  • Entity Catalog API specifications
  • Incorporating entity catalog API modeling capabilities in the Information Framework (SID)
  • Service Catalog API specifications and updates
  • Product/Resource Catalog API specifications
