GB1083 Autonomous Operations Functions v1.0.0

This guidebook introduces the concept of Autonomous Operations Function (AOF) – a foundational building block for enabling autonomy in a scalable and pragmatic manner. AOF concept introduced to abstract the complexity of emerging technologies and rapidly evolving frameworks, allowing Telcos to operationalize and monetize these capabilities in the short term, even as the broader journey toward full autonomy continues through a longer transformation cycle. Since this building block is conceived as a Resource (refer to TM Forum Information model Resource ABE) it can fit into the existing standard framework of the TM Forum. This approach helps to unify divergent autonomy efforts across domains and technology stacks, shifting the focus from tool-level implementation details to service-driven, scenario-driven and outcome-oriented design, while allowing monetization through the traditional PSR Model (Product, Service Resource Model) or through he BSR Model (Business, Service, Resource Model) that is suggested in the Autonomous Operations.
