IG1501C AN L4 IP Network Fault Management Solution Package v1.0.0

As the telecommunications industry evolves, Autonomous Network Level 4 (AN L4) is increasingly recognized as a consensus and goal for the development of operator networks. Many Communication Service Providers (CSPs) have already embarked on their journey to upgrade to AN L4. However, there is a noticeable lack of effective guidance on how to efficiently and rapidly establish AN L4 capabilities. In response to this need, the TM Forum’s Autonomous Network Program (TMF ANP) has emerged, defining a series of standards to assist operators and vendors in their transition to AN L4. This document presents the solution package for IP Network Fault Management within the AN L4 framework. Using real IP Network faults as examples, it outlines how to define effectiveness indicators, evolution goals, reference architecture, and workflows for IP Network fault management under the AN L4 structure. Additionally, the document lists common IP Network faults to provide readers with standardized solutions, facilitating a swift initiation of their AN L4 immigration journey.

This document focuses exclusively on single-domain faults within the AN L4 IP Network. It adheres to a specific fault classification methodology and outlines the evolution goals for AN L4, as well as its key features. Additionally, the integration modes of copilot/agent are discussed, along with cross-domain fault management strategies. For detailed reference and guidelines, readers are encouraged to consult IG1501.
