TMF703 Entity Inventory API User Guide v4.0.0

The Entity Inventory API allows the management of the entire lifecycle of the inventory elements including (managed entities and associations). Entity Inventory is primarily intended to address those entities which may not be addressed by any of Product, Service or Resource inventories. However, with an extension pattern, it can be used to address such inventory requirements as well.

The Entity Inventory represents two base elements: entity and association. By extending these elements you may make a concrete model of instance of any ‘Thing’. So, the entity inventory can be used in any of Internet of Things (IoT) use cases.

This API also provides ManagedEntity Resource as an extension of base entity that could be future extended for different applications. There are examples of such a managed entity provided in this document.
