What happens to the deliverables created within the Collaboration Program?

The deliverables that are created by projects and teams are published as part of TM Forum Frameworx which is a suite of operational best practices and standards made available to any TM Forum member.

Where do I access the final deliverables that get published from the projects?

You can access all of the deliverables inside the TM Forum Frameworx download center.

Is there a typical timeline for projects?

Projects are generally initiated six months prior to the anticipated release of their deliverables. Major releases typically occur at TM Forum’s Live! events which take place annually in late Spring in Europe and during the late Fall in the Americas.

However, each project’s timeline is determined by the team. As long as projects follow the process and guidelines outlined in our Intellectual Property Rights policy and other governing documents, work can be done according to the timeline built by the team and deliverables can be published and shared outside the major Frameworx release schedule if approved by TM Forum and its governing body.

How do I find a list of the online communities?

Visit the online community website and click on Communities Directory.

How do I find what projects are currently under way?

Visit the online community website and click on Projects Directory.

Can I start a new community?

Any TM Forum member can propose the creation of a new community. Visit the community website and click on the “request a community or topic” tab to complete a short form of your request. A message will be generated to the Head of the Collaboration program who will respond to you within 48 hours.

Can I start a new project?

Yes. Any TM Forum member can suggest a project or propose an idea for a project. The best way to do that is to find a related community to your interest area and post your idea as a new discussion. All projects start with the development of a project charter that is publicly available for review and submitted to TM Forum for approval.

How do I find out who else is a member of a community or project?

Once you are inside the community website, you can visit any community and click on the people icon to see a list of participants.

When you click on the name of a project from the projects directory and ask to join it, you will see a list of the participants. Once you have been admitted to a project work area, you can click on the same people icon to see a list of the other members of that project team.

Where do I find the templates and tools that are used by a project team?

All the templates and forms typically used by project team members to do their work and submit their deliverables can be found here.

Where do I go for help?

Within the community website there is a Support and Online Help community with lots of helpful information and user guides. You can visit that community and post your questions or read the information that is included there.

If you have further questions, contact collaboration@tmforum.org

How do I find out what kind of permission my company has granted in terms of Intellectual Property Rights?

When you request to join a Project, if your company has granted universal access to everyone inside the company, you will automatically enter the project area. If your company had decided that each request will have to be approved by your company’s IPR contact, you will be copied on the request to your company’s Authorized IP Contact.

How often does TM Forum make updates to Frameworx?

TM Forum generally does two major releases of Frameworx every year to coincide with our TM Forum Live! events. However, new deliverables may be released at any time throughout the year and are typically announced to the membership via our web-site and regular e-mail communication. Make sure your e-mail preferences are set to receive TM Forum news and we’ll keep you up to date on all our happenings.
