Build your Frameworx foundation: Learn to implement a common information model covering every aspect of your business

Speaking the same language, understanding the meaning of the words used and having access to information is of vital importance to the success of any business.

Focused on a major aspect of TM Forum’s Frameworx suite of standards, TM Forum’s Information Framework (SID) Fundamentals training course helps you reach implementation stage quickly by taking the guess work out of creating a common information model. We’ll show you how to take the thousands of words and concepts related to managing a business and create a common and simple way to define and communicate them.

Learn to avoid the common misunderstandings by using a standardized format to identify and define entities, their attributes and the relationships with each other, thereby saving you hundreds of hours of integration project work.

Level: Foundation

Pre-requisites:
TM Forum Frameworx Overview is recommended
TM Forum Business Process Framework Fundamentals is recommended

Note: This course is suitable for a non-technical audience. However, being familiar with Unified Modelling language (UML) is suggested.

    • Mapping to the Business Process Framework (eTOM).
  2. Unit 2 – Information Framework Structure
  3. Unit 3 – Information Framework Modeling Patterns. The value of using repeatable patterns to extend and develop the Framework
  4. Unit 4 – Extending the Information Framework: how to apply the development guidelines
  5. Unit 5 – Conformance to the Information Framework

Solution architects will better understand the role of data in providing the overall solution, highlighting:

  • The ability to more easily integrate products
