This document provides an analysis of virtual Customer Premises Equipment (vCPE) Network Service (NS).

Based on the multiple inputs from Operators it was stated that one of the main bottlenecks in the implementation of SDN/NFV technologies is a lack of comprehensive standardization materials.

This document is targeting analysis of the particular vCPE Network Service from the practical perspective.

It addresses the challenges of vCPE NS implementation by Communication Service Providers and Cable/Multi-Service Operators (MSO’s).

The document is targeted to reveal the challenges related to implementation of both Residential-vCPE and Enterprise-vCPE Network Services in the hybrid environment combining the elements of the TMO (Traditional Mode of Operations) and FMO (Future Mode of Operations)/virtualized Networks.
