IG1219F Closed Loop Information Model v1.0.0

The Closed Loop Information Model encompasses the information resources relevant to define and realize the automation of closed loops. The model represents the concepts and relationships, constraints, rules and operations to specify semantics related to closed loops.

The model provides a framework to define an abstract but formal representation of entity types that may include their properties, relationships and the operations that can be performed on them. All entities presented in this closed loop information model are real-world objects that a business will need to manage.

This formal description of the closed loop automation management as a problem /opportunity domain without constraining the description to any actual implementation in software is key to enable adoption, extension and motivate member feedback for continuous improvement. The chosen approach to formalize the information model is to use entity-relationship (ER) approach based and unified modeling language (UML). The approach focuses on identifying objects that are closely associated to closed loop automation management first, and then operations and functions.
