GB922 Policy R18.0.1

Policy management has been portrayed as an effective mechanism to orchestrate the behavior of distributed systems. Different versions of policy management have concentrated on different aspects of this problem, ranging from defining business goals to specifying low-level configuration changes in a device. Unfortunately, such efforts have been scattered and uncoordinated.

In contrast, the DEN-ng policy model, as described in [PBNM] and [DEN-ng], is a set of information models that provide business, system, and implementation viewpoints of a managed system. It was built to support the needs of Frameworx architectures, as defined in the 053 series of TM Forum specifications.
