Course Syllabus
Module 1 TM Forum Open API Modeling and Design
This module explores how Open APIs expose business capabilities and leverage data-driven designs. It walks through the transformation from Information Framework models to Open API resource structures, covering UML class diagrams, JSON schemas, and key archetypes. You’ll also learn about extensible schema patterns, notification mechanisms, import-export tasks, and entity versioning.
Module 2 Extending Open APIs – Asynchronous APIs
Focusing on API extensions and asynchronous capabilities, this module introduces principles for integrating and contextualizing Open APIs. You will explore JSON Patch and JSONPath based extensions, practical use cases, and Gen5 asynchronous APIs. The module also highlights resource models and architectural flexibility to support dynamic API interactions.
Module 3 Implement, Test, Certify Open APIs
This hands-on module covers the how-to’s of Open API implementation using Swagger, Postman, and Node.js, with a focus on HTTP headers, security, and entity management. You’ll apply the CRUD methods through practical exercises, including Trouble Ticket and Broadband Product API scenarios.
